This year was the perfect time to make things simpler, clearer, and just a little better. That’s exactly what we’ve been working on at Meet5: improvements that genuinely help you in everyday app use and make planning activities even more relaxed. To kick off the upcoming summer season, we want to bring together and highlight a few of the latest updates from this spring. Here are five features that have been added so far.
Features to help with activities 🚀
1. New activity overview: Find the right activities faster 🔍
The activity overview is the heart of the Meet5 app. That’s why we’ve improved it so you can find more relevant activities faster without having to search for ages. Try the updated “relevance” sort!
Your benefits:
You’ll see more activities that fit your location and timeframe.
Less scrolling, quicker decisions
It’s easier to find a good mix of new suggestions and older ideas.
2. More options for your activity descriptions 📝
When an activity has a great title and a creative description, the right people are more likely to join. To support you even more when creating and organizing activities, creators can now make their activity descriptions easier to read with bold words, italic text, or underlined sections.
Your benefits:
As a participant, you can quickly understand what the activity is about and what to expect.
As a creator, you can present information in a way that people are more likely to read.
3. Additional activity details for better guidance 💡
In addition to the general activity description, the new “additional details for participants” section helps answer open questions earlier. You can share important information in a separate field that is only visible to registered participants. This can include the exact meeting point, a way to recognize the group, or notes about the event.
Your benefits:
More clarity once you’ve joined the activity
Fewer questions in the chat
Better communication and organization overall
Features for a better user experience 🎯
4. Improved profile picture display in activities 😄
Many Meet5 members wanted a clearer view of profile pictures. In the past, images were often cropped or not easy to recognize when viewing an activity. With the new display, you can now see more clearly and quickly who’s taking part, which makes a real difference, especially in larger groups.
Your benefits:
Faster overview of participants
More excitement, because you can get a better sense of the group
Organizers can see at a glance how the group is coming together.
5. New relationship status: “Widowed” 💬
This profile option was one of the most frequently requested. It was important to us to create more accuracy and visibility for those it applies to and to support a respectful community.
Your benefits:
You can present yourself in a way that feels more accurate and authentic.
Others can better understand your life situation without you having to explain it.
Thank you for actively shaping Meet5—through your feedback, by joining activities, and through the many real-life connections you create. We’re carrying that momentum into the rest of the year and will continue working step by step to make getting together easier so you can foster those new connections. 😍
