From Friendship to Forever: Hans and Regina’s Meet5 Story
Today, we’re sharing a story that might tug at your heart a little. Hans told us how Meet5 brought someone very unexpected into his life. What started as a friendly connection slowly turned into something more. Now, they’re sharing life together, side by side.

A New Chapter for Me
If you’d told me a few years ago that I’d meet someone like Regina through an app, I probably would’ve laughed. But here we are, sharing life together, side by side, and it all started with something as simple as a group activity on Meet5.
Back in 2021, things felt… quiet. Too quiet. Family changes and the lingering effects of the pandemic had left me a bit stuck. Life was still moving, but something was missing. I came across an ad for Meet5, and it caught my attention. It wasn’t a dating app, not in the usual sense. It was about real people doing real things, and that sounded like exactly what I needed.
I joined as a Premium member in October. I’d already tried dating sites before, with not much luck, and this felt different. There was no pressure, no swiping, or forced conversations. After my very first activity, I realized how easy it was to connect with people when you’re just doing something together, face to face. That feeling stuck with me.
When Regina Showed Up
Like most people on the app, I was open to meeting new folks. But I’ll be honest, when I saw Regina’s profile, I hoped a little harder that we’d end up in the same activity someday.
That first chance came during a meditation evening. We didn’t talk much then, but I remember noticing her across the room. That alone gave me a reason to keep showing up.
A few months later, there was a group movie night. Not exactly ideal for deep conversation, but it gave me the nudge I needed to reach out. So I sent her a message.
Her Response Changed Everything
Regina was kind but clear: she wasn’t looking for a relationship. She was happy being single, meeting new people, and just enjoying life on her own terms. I respected that. And honestly, I still thought she was great.
So I stuck around, not to chase, but to show her who I was. Slowly, something shifted. We kept meeting up through activities, and over time, the conversations grew deeper. The walls came down. What started as a friendship turned into something more meaningful, without either of us forcing it.
Together, But Still Ourselves
It’s been over a year now, and we’re still going strong. Regina and I are partners, but we’re also still very much part of the Meet5 world. Sometimes we join events together, sometimes we go separately. We’ve kept the friendships we made early on and continue to meet new people who become part of our lives.
Regina especially loves organizing activities and exploring new ideas: Meet5 fits her perfectly. As for me, I’m just glad I found a way to build a social life again, in a way that feels natural and fun.
More Than I Ever Expected
We didn’t join Meet5 with the same goals, but it still brought us together. I didn’t just find a partner, I found a group of friends, a fresh start, and a reason to look forward to weekends again.
And to think, it all began with a meditation class and a simple hello. 😊
