But what does a quality profile mean, and how do you make one? Let's dive into it here!
A great first photo
Your first profile picture is important so that people will recognize you at your first activity! If you don't already have a recent picture to use, ask a friend, neighbor, or colleague to help you take one (a mirror selfie isn't so friendly looking). Make sure it's taken at a normal angle, stand or sit up straight, and smile! We're so excited to see you all on the app!
A friendly description
Have you noticed that by default, a lot of profiles simply say "Hi, I'm new to Meet5?" Let's change that, and make your profile really shine! If you're not sure where to start, here are a few ideas to get you started: Are you originally from the area, or new to town? What do you, or did you, do for work? What are your favorite tv shows? What do you like to do with your free time? What sports teams do you support? Etc :)
3. Your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th profile photos
While your 1st profile picture should be a clear, friendly, and recent image of your face, you have a lot of leeway to express yourself in the rest of your profile photos! Have an adorable pet? Recently took an interesting vacation? Made an amazing baked good or craft lately? Show off photos of your hobbies in photos 2-4. It really makes your personality shine through.
Your interest tags
Your interest tags aren't only to express your interests - they can even help you be matched to activities that would most interest you! So when you tap on your interest tags, imagine doing them together with your new Meet5 friends. How about a crafternoon at a cozy coffee shop? A happy hour at a speakeasy? A bike ride down the river rail trail? It's all possible on Meet5! So let your interests shine, and pick a lot of tags. You can choose up to 20.
