If you’ve spent some time on Meet5, you’ve probably come across the words Community Captain. ⚓ But who are they exactly, what do they do, and how can they help you as a Meet5 member? Let’s break it down.
Captains: Members Who Keep the Community Moving
Every Captain starts just like anyone else, as a regular Meet5 member. But over time, they get more involved, host activities, and help grow the local community. As a small team, we’re incredibly grateful for that kind of support, especially in cities where we’re just getting started.
Captains help bring Meet5 to life in their region. They plan activities, encourage new members, create atmosphere, and are the go-to people when something needs organizing. In short, they’re the friendly faces helping everyone feel welcome.
What Captains Do
Host 2–3 activities a month (or more, if they want!)
Know the app and community guidelines
Welcome new members and help answer questions from newbies
Stay connected with the Meet5 team and share feedback
Even with these extra responsibilities, Captains are still regular users. They go to activities they enjoy, chat in the app, and just have fun, same as everyone else. Being a Captain shouldn’t feel like work, it’s about creating your own community and making new connections.
