Meet5 Chat Update: Clearer, faster, more relaxed

Good communication on Meet5 is often the moment when an idea turns into a great activity. But when lots of people are messaging at once, sharing photos, and coordinating plans, things can quickly get confusing. That’s exactly why we completely redesigned the Meet5 chat.


The goal: help you find things faster, keep up more easily, and have more control without losing the fun of chatting.


Below, we’ll walk you through the new features that will make everyday use of Meet5 easier:


  1. Send multiple images. You can now send up to 10 photos at once in a group or private chat.

    • That’s especially useful if you want to share a little photo recap after an event or send several images with information without having to upload everything one by one.

    • You’ll find it as usual in the chat at the bottom left while typing.

  2. Jump to the end of the chat. If you scroll up to catch up on previous messages, a note will now appear in the bottom right of the chat window showing how many new messages came in while you were away. Tap it to jump straight to the latest message.

    • This is especially helpful in active group chats so you can get back up to speed without having to search for the right spot.

  3. Edit and delete your own messages. Made a typo or sent a message to the wrong chat? No worries, now you can fix it:

    • Edit messages: up to 15 minutes after sending

    • Delete messages: up to 7 minutes after sending

    • In the chat, it will be clearly shown when a message has been edited or deleted. You can find the options directly on your message under the menu by long-pressing the message.

  4. Search and filter chats To help you find the right chat faster, the chat overview now includes filters:

    • All chats

    • Unread messages

    • Joined activities

    • Created activities

    • Favorites

    • Private messages

      • This is especially helpful for organizers, since it makes it much easier to group chats related to your own meetups.

  5. Reply directly to a specific message. You can now reply to a single message directly, so the context stays clear. This works for both text and images. That way, conversations stay easier to follow even when several topics are happening at once.

  6. Search by member name or activity title. You can search your chats by entering a member’s name or a meetup title in the new search bar.

    1. Important: This is not a search within chat messages themselves; it only searches names and activity titles.

  7. Save messages as drafts. If you start writing a message and then switch chats or leave the app, your text will now stay saved as a draft. The draft is stored on your device, so it remains available when you come back.


As part of this update, the “Favorites” and “Friends” tabs that you previously found in chats have been moved under “Discover.” This keeps member profiles in one clear place and creates a better separation.
